In a joint operation conducted by Chunchura Police Station, Bundel Police Station, and the Chandannagar Police Commissionerate's special branch, two men and a woman were arrested for the possession of ganja.
Acting on information from undercover sources, the police seized more than 10 kg of ganja during a search of a taxi near the Ota check post in Bandel.
The arrested individuals, including Sagar Tamang, were traveling in the car, which was impounded by the police. The driver of the car has been identified as Purushottam Jha.
The investigation is ongoing to determine the intended destination of the seized cannabis.
